Hanging Out in San Diego

Little Italy farmers market in San Diego

What a relief it is to have a base for a while. I didn’t realize how tired and stressed I had been, always moving, moving, moving. So although I don’t have my calendar full of house sits since I changed my plan, I feel a whole lot better.

Staying at Georgia’s is wonderful and I am really enjoying having someone around and actually having a bit of a social life! What a concept! Going out for coffee, to the yacht club for lunch, a panini at the corner cafe, I am so grateful for all of it, and they are such simple things! For the past year, all those pleasures had been put on the back burner, shoved behind all the things “I had to do” and ignored. So I really appreciate these outings and treats now.

I’m still working on the plan for this year, but it’s looking more like heading to Washington at the end of May, beginning of June, time with Mardelle and Jim in Port Townsend, visit Janet and Pat in Chelan, hopefully a trip to Montana and then a confirmed house sit in Seattle at the end of July. And sometime towards the end of August or thereabouts, probably but not set in stone, back to South Africa on a one-way ticket.

It’s feeling more and more like that’s what I need to do. But I haven’t really decided where in SA and that is something I will need to decide before I go.

Buono Forchetta

Bit by bit, things are falling into place. I’m getting the hang of the site and looking long-term and ramping it up and expanding, but it needs more work on stabilizing before we do anything more. But already I can see things that can be done to increase sales and I plan to put ClickFunnels to work soon. All the work, studying and practicing needs to be put to use!

But for now, I am enjoying not stressing about anything, not moving anywhere for another week and simply enjoying being my life.
